Think U1 focuses on the personal and professional development of each child. Volunteering even just a few hours of your time will go a long way in helping our kids reach their goals. Our foundation offers many outlets in how you can get involved and help us spread the goal of achieving higher levels of confidence and character within and around our community.
Volunteer Opportunities
Our tutors and development advisors might find themselves working in a school during the school day, tutoring or mentoring an individual child, or assisting a class in a small group setting. Some of our programs take place after school offering homework help, tutoring and skills instruction or enrichment.
The Sports Development Coach supports members in the U1 Sports’ skill development program for Grammar, Middle School and High School Student athletes. Our sports mentorship program focuses on developing confidence, character and community through healthy competition.
Our Sports Coaches might find themselves working in a school during the school day; leading a group of student athletes or coaching a child individually during recess. With many of our sports programs taking place after school, our Sports Development Coaches can leave their mark through our sports leagues, travel sports, after school, recess and summer camp programs.
The Think U1 Jr. Board consists of a team of individuals who push and support the foundation’s vision through collaboration and it’s network. Our Jr. Board members will build a bridge to the next generation by assisting in creating organizational events, recruiting other volunteers, creating community outreach, advising on strategic decisions, and acting as ambassadors for the organization.
Pens to Pals is an opportunity to open a line of communication to those who are part of a less fortunate community. Pen Pals promote key skills such as empathy, concern, general social skills, and boosts writing abilities. Our Pens to Pals program creates bonds and friendships between individuals no matter where they come from.
Think U1 Service Learning Program is a life changing experience. Our team of visionaries have designed a program that allows us to combine our community with cultures around the world. By embarking on our Service Learning Trip, members will have the opportunity to assist in bettering communities. In exchange, our members will not only build communities, learn culture, and gain new skills and work experience, but also contribute to changing the world.
By going on one of our Service Learning Trips, you may find yourself building a school, creating sustainability through environmental projects, or being a helping hand to an orphanage in need such as teaching, and engaging with children through physical and social activities.
